Veterans, reservists, service leavers, and military spouses are invited to attend this Oracle x TechVets event for building their tech career skills and networks.
We’re very pleased to announce that TechVets and leading computer software company Oracle are hosting a new career-boosting event, set for Thursday 23 February 2023.
Called Operation Open Door, this event is designed specifically for veterans, service leavers, reservists, and military spouses who have an interest in tech and cyber careers. As Oracle puts it:
“Imagine being able to expand on the skills you’ve acquired during your service and becoming part of an innovative global environment where you can enhance your expertise, develop your knowledge, and take your career to the next level.”
People at Oracle recognise the massive value ex-service people bring to the tech world. Like thousands of other employers, they know you have exceptional teamwork skills, the ability to work under pressure, and the drive to ‘give back’ as reported by research from the Forces Employment Charity. That’s why they’re keen to get you through their door!

If you attend this Open Door event, you’ll get to see what goes on at the Oracle City Office in London. The event will showcase Oracle as a great place to apply what you learned in the military to a fulfilling career in technology. Regardless of your level of experience, Oracle provides a range of growth oriented professional opportunities to best develop your skills, knowledge, and leadership abilities.
Ex-military personnel who now work at Oracle will also be there to give you firsthand tips on making the transition into tech, and you’ll be able to network with other people at various stages of their tech career journeys in person.
Members of TechVets have access to an online community of service leavers in tech anytime. They also get free training in a wide range of tech and cyber skills, expert CV advice and much more.
