These times are challenging enough without the additional stress we have when embarking on a career change or returning to work from a career break.

Through our partnership with Splunk, our members have access to Splunk training and exam vouchers as part of the SplunkWork+ initiative.
This includes access to the eLearning version of all 22 of the following single-subject courses in the Knowledge Manager and Search Expert learning paths. You will have access to the videos for 12 months. Additionally, eLearning offerings with labs will allow you to access the labs up to three times over the 12-month period. Each lab access lasts 4 hours.

Finally, through our new partnership with Alteryx, our members can access the Alteryx SparkED Program. The SparkED for the Military program has been created by a team of experts with years of experience in education and training.
This program offers free access to Alteryx, a powerful data analytics tool that is widely used in the business world. Through our program, you will learn how to use Alteryx to solve real-world business problems and gain valuable skills that are highly sought after by employers. Alteryx Designer is a code-free/code-friendly software, so it is easy to use by anyone, regardless of skill level. Interactive learning paths guide you through each lesson and enable you to get hands-on with the software at your own pace.
You’ll also have access to our Maveryx Community, home to thousands of data analytics experts, user groups, and helpful resources. When you complete the program, you’ll be able to show visible proof of your skills mastery through credentials that can range from Micro to Advanced.

One of the most exciting parts about joining the field of user experience is the large number of job opportunities available. Nearly every company needs UX designers to help create their digital and physical products. While the need for UX designers continues to grow, there is currently a shortage of UX design professionals to fill those roles.
A career in UX design allows you the opportunity to work as a generalist, finding a role as a UX designer, UI designer, or UX researcher, or as a specialist, like a visual designer or interaction designer. Upon completion of this certificate program, you will be able to search for jobs with all of these titles, and find the role that best suits you.
This program includes over 200 hours of instruction and hundreds of practice-based activities and assessments that simulate real-world UX design scenarios and are critical for success in the workplace. The content is highly interactive and developed by Google employees with decades of experience in UX design.

The benefit of a community containing so many veteran Cyber professionals, is the ready-made professional network and visibility of opportunities.
By helping to put our members in direct contact with industry, provide them the opportunity to upskill, as well as improve their CVs and interview techniques, we are able to support more of the Forces community into sustainable employment.
One of the most common challenges in the Forces community, is understanding the transferable skills and articulating them on a CV.
The TechVets community can help with this through the use of the peer review service. This service uses fantastic volunteers who are experienced in hiring and CV reviews into Cyber or Tech roles.
This service ensures that TechVets members can send their CV and covering letter directly to CREST to be distributed to all the CREST member organisations in the UK. These organisations range from large FTSE 100 companies to boutique consultancies.
TechVets facilitates access to industry through our partnerships to provide a combination of training and education workshops, webinars and networking events.
This ensures that our members have the best opportunity to gain that important direct interaction and networking with hiring managers and employers.
We engage with hiring managers and employers who understand the skills and experience that veterans have and that appreciate the value veterans add to the workplace.
