We are excited to announce that TechVets has embarked on another fantastic partnership, this time with Ranger4, a leader in digitising and automating experiences for customers, employees, and stakeholders. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our journey to support military service leavers transitioning into the tech industry.

A Fresh Start in 2024 with Comprehensive Tech Courses

TechVets Partners with Ranger4 to Enhance Skills in Tech for Military Service Leavers

To kick off 2024, TechVets and Ranger4 are offering an exclusive package of online education of 800 licences earmarked for UK TechVets members. This initiative is designed to equip our members with cutting-edge skills and differentiate our members’ profiles in job interviews. The courses cover vital tech domains such as DevOps and Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence (ML&AI) fundamentals.

“We are excited to be involved with supporting TechVets with technical training for their members as part of a wider career transition partnership,”Steve Green, Director Ranger4. “The job market in technology is extremely competitive, so helping service leavers differentiate through knowledge and experience gained from our courses will be decisive,” Malcolm Namey Director, Ranger4.

“I have finished and passed the DevOps Fundamentals Course. Special thanks to you and Malcolm for sharing this with me. Other DevOps courses tend to be very technical and jump to Git, Docker, Jenkins and other tools. This course was very interesting in how it explained the theory and the team-management/financial side such as business Agility, Agile principles, the three ways and CI/CD in automation. I have definitely benefited from my notes, and I wish I had taken this course before jumping onto my cognixia DevOps bootcamp which rushed into the technical DevOps tools.”

Veterans are known for their exceptional skills in leadership, discipline, tenacity, and teamwork. Ranger4, having worked with many ex-service people in the past, understands that these skills are not only transferable but also highly sought after in the tech marketplace. This partnership will leverage these valuable attributes, ensuring that veterans are not just ready for the tech world but are also seen as assets in any technology team.

Adoption and Importance of MLOps

As of 2020, only 29% of enterprises had adopted Machine Learning. MLOps, or Machine Learning Operations, is crucial for deploying, monitoring, and managing ML models, extending the core principles of DevOps to the lifecycle of machine learning. Gartner predicts that by 2024, half of AI investments will be quantified and linked to specific KPIs to measure ROI.

Overcoming Challenges in AI Adoption

Many organisations face hurdles in AI adoption due to legacy systems and complex technology stacks. Ranger4 can assist in creating the right foundation for your AI & ML initiatives.

“Through this partnership, our aim is to make a significant, positive impact on service leavers as they transition from military to civilian life. Ranger4’s expertise and resources will be pivotal in providing the necessary skills and knowledge for a smooth and successful entry into the tech industry’, James Murphy, Director TechVets, a Forces Employment Charity Programme.

The TechVets Advantage

This partnership provides a unique opportunity for military service leavers to gain a competitive edge in the commercial tech market. The foundational courses offered are perfect for those with non-tech backgrounds, providing essential knowledge before diving into vendor-specific programs like AWS or Azure.

We encourage all TechVets members to take advantage of these sponsored courses to develop a strong foundation in the latest tech principles. These skills are not just essential; they are the future of the tech industry.
