It is with great sadness that we share the news that TechVets co-Founder Mark Milton recently passed away.

James Murphy, TechVets Director,

“We are all shocked and saddened by this news and the thoughts of everyone here at TechVets are with Mark’s family and friends, and we extend our deepest sympathies to them”.

It was a great privilege to have known Mark personally, he has been a mentor and friend over the past few years. Mark was known and respected for his achievements and experience over nearly three decades in technology design. However, his devotion, determination and passion for supporting the veteran community stands out as a crowning achievement, where he has been instrumental in changing thousands of lives.”

Mark was part of a founding four who set up TechVets, a non-profit that supported so many British Military veterans and service leavers into cyber security and technology careers. Mark played a vital role in establishing the world leading TechVets community that champions collaboration and provides so much support for those seeking a new pathway into tech.

Alistair Halliday, CEO of RFEA – The Forces Employment Charity,

“This is such devastating news. Mark was a dynamic, charismatic and hugely loved individual, and a good friend, whose sad loss will be felt by so many. He was instrumental in moving TechVets into RFEA and was always full of energy, passion and drive. He was an inspiration to us all, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time”.
