TechVets CEO Christmas Message 2021

TechVets CEO Christmas Message 2021

Meredyth Grant

Dear friends,

I hope you will all take a moment to reflect on the difference you have made to the lives of others alongside TechVets this year. In 2021, a year like no other, I have witnessed the profound care of our community for all those within it. Our collective community is generous in so many ways and it is this spirit of service to others and commitment that drives TechVets from strength to strength.

This year has not been without its challenges. We have witnessed unemployment, digital poverty and experienced wider loss from the effects of COVID-19. We will remember the legacy left by co-founder, the late Mark Milton. His vision for TechVets lives on in all of us as we work to provide service leavers with purposeful future-proofed employment opportunities. We will take these lived experiences however difficult, and grow in resilience to face the uncertainties ahead.

2022 will inevitably present obstacles for us to overcome, but if there’s one quality that veterans are renowned for, it’s the ability to persevere. We will face whatever heads our way together, and take strength knowing that we are wholly supported by our community, virtually and in person.

We all need to take a break and reconnect with everything that grounds us in purpose. Please rest, reflect and return in 2022 reinvigorated and ready to set our sights on the next chapter.

I wish you all very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and fulfilling year in 2022.

Yours,

James Murphy
