The British Ex-Forces in Business Awards are approaching, and TechVets is being recognised among its impressive selection of nominees.

TechVets is delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as a finalist for a prestigious 2022 British Ex-Forces in Business Award!

There was a record number of nominations for the British Ex-Forces in Business Awards this year (700!), making us all the prouder of this achievement. It also makes this awards programme the world’s largest celebration of military veterans in second careers.

“The high-profile annual programme and event champions the achievements of ex-military, presenting them as important role models for current and future service leavers,” says host Jacqui Oatley MBE.

Supporting the Ex-Forces Community

Our hardworking network of veterans in tech, coaches, advisors, and incredible volunteers have helped to make TechVets a veteran resource of excellence. We were honoured to be nominated in the ‘Ex-Forces Initiative of the Year’ category and are now proud to be finalists.

This category recognises specific initiatives designed to support veterans, service leavers or the wider ex-forces community to excel in the workplace. An independent judging panel selected finalists based on the overall impact of the initiative in supporting this community.

In the case of TechVets, we are being recognised for successfully supporting tech-curious service leavers, veterans, reservists, and military spouses into tech and cyber careers. Through our efforts in 2022, TechVets members are securing employment in tech, IT, and cyber security roles with average salaries of £49,461.02.

This year also saw TechVets roll out its support and services to all families of veterans and service personnel.

The winners of the British Ex-Forces in Business Awards will be announced in September at a ceremony and gala dinner. In attendance will be more than 1,000 business and military leaders who work to promote the outstanding value of veterans in secondary careers across all sectors.

We appreciate our place on this list of leaders and look forward to bringing what we learn at the event back to our own community at TechVets.
